"Music to inspire and nourish the soul."

You Touched Me

The lyrics to "You Touched Me" were written by my cousin, Betty Brookshire. When I read her poem, I was touched deeply and immediately heard the music for this sing running through my head. My cousin had a genetic illness, Huntington's Disease, which has since taken her life.

Lyrics
You Touched Me
You have inspired many ordinary men.
You have shown us all a better way to live.
You did great wonders, walked on water through your faith.
You have taught me how to love and how to give.

You've taken my spirit and molded it like clay.
You taught me how to love. You taught me how to pray.
Oh, Lord, You touched me. You touched me.
As I grew to know Your love, You touched me.

You taught me love through Your death and through Your life.
You have blessed me with an everlasting hope.
You suffered trials, but You never did complain.
By example, You showed me how to cope.

You've taken my spirit and molded it like clay.
You taught me how to love. You taught me how to pray.
Oh, Lord, You touched me. You touched me.
As I grew to know Your love, You touched me.

There came a day You reached out to take my hand,
And You called for me to follow You in faith.
The way seemed rugged. I was timid and afraid,
But Your gentleness assured me I was safe.

You've taken my spirit and molded it like clay.
You taught me how to love. You taught me how to pray.
Oh, Lord, You touched me. You touched me.
As I grew to know Your love, You touched me. You touched me.
As I grew to know Your love, You touched me.
